You need to vote tomorrow.

We are lucky to live in a country where we all have the ability to decide who leads our country. Decades ago, people died for this right in our country. Today, around the world, people are intimidated, jailed, and murdered for fighting for this right.

For this reason, every election is important. Every election is an opportunity to participate in something extraordinary, something powerful. But this year, the election is even more important. Our next president will have the opportunity to select Supreme Court justices and make vital decisions about the direction of our country on almost every issue – the economy, our healthcare, our civil rights.

Locally, we’ve seen how dramatically elected officials can change our lives. Those races, while they receive less press, are just as important. The people we elect to state houses today become the presidential candidates of tomorrow.

For these reasons – and so many more – you need to vote tomorrow. You need to. And you need to vote for progressive leaders who both believe in a brighter future for our country and have a plan to get us there.
