More good news…
My essay, “Pinspiration: How Pinterest reinforces American ideals of feminine beauty and shame,” will be published in American Shame: Body, Culture, and the Politics of an Emotion, scheduled to be released in summer 2013.
I’ll also be presenting “Getting Shorter, Thinking Bigger: Feminist advocacy in the digital age” at the Postgraduate Contemporary Women’s Writing Network’s conference, The F Word in Contemporary Women’s Writing in early April.
Don’t forget that I’ll also be delivering a lecture on the politicization of women’s health next Thursday, December 6th at (un)SAFE: A Graduate Student Conference in Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies at the University of Pennsylvania. See you there!
