Exciting news!

My essay, “Beyond Condoms and Contraceptives: The Rhetoric and Ramifications of ‘Safe’ Sex,” will be published in My Body, My Health: Women’s Stories, scheduled to be released in summer 2013.

If you simply can’t wait that long to read it, I’ll be delivering a lecture on the same topic at (un)SAFE: A Graduate Student Conference in Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies at the University of Pennsylvania on Thursday, December 6th.

And I’ll be delivering a lecture, entitled “Oh Baby: What Celebrity Moms Teach Us About Motherhood…and the Middle Class” at Celebrity: Exploring Critical Issues in Lisbon, Portugal, in March. More details to come on that.
